Anthem of the Seas Review: Skydiving, Sushi, and Balcony Naps at Sea

Anthem of the Seas Review: Skydiving, Sushi, and Balcony Naps at Sea

Every once in a while, a cruise ship comes along that feels like the future snuck into your vacation—and Anthem of the Seas is that ship. From robot bartenders and indoor skydiving to sushi-rolling and bumper cars, it’s a floating thrill ride for families with taste.

Our time aboard this Quantum-class beauty was packed with surprises, snacks, and more than a few naps on our extra-large balcony mini-suite (because, luxury and fresh air are a vibe).

Bionic Bar: Shake Things Up—Literally

We finally tried the Bionic Bar, and let me tell you: it’s a must-do. Watching robotic arms mix cocktails feels like a Disney Imagineering fever dream. You customize your drink on a touchscreen, press go, and suddenly you’re recording a full TikTok as your beverage is shaken, stirred, and served—no human contact required. (My kid filmed it like it was Star Wars.)

Balcony Bliss: The Mini-Suite of Dreams

Our oversized balcony mini-suite was a family game-changer. Plenty of room inside, but the real star? The sprawling balcony. We all fit out there comfortably, lounged, sipped, laughed, and yes—multiple nap sightings were confirmed. Nothing beats a salty sea breeze snooze.

iFly: Skydiving Without the “What Ifs”

I’ll admit, I was nervous to try iFly, the indoor skydiving simulator—but y’all, it’s amazing. No experience needed. The crew makes you feel safe and confident, and suddenly you’re flying like a Marvel origin story. It’s one of the most unique things you’ll ever do at sea. And it makes for great photos.

Sushi School: Roll With It

The sushi-making class turned out to be one of our favorite surprises. It was hands-on, delicious, and surprisingly easy to follow—even for the teens. We learned, we laughed, and then we ate everything we made. A must-do for foodies and families alike.

Sports Complex: From Soccer to Bumper Cars

Our teenager was in heaven in the SeaPlex, Royal Caribbean’s massive indoor activity zone. One hour it’s soccer. The next? Bumper cars. Yes—real bumper cars. On a ship. He couldn’t get enough, and honestly, neither could we. This space is perfect for teens who need to burn off energy (and adults who are secretly competitive).

North Star: Views You Can’t Unsee

If there’s one thing you must do on Anthem of the Seas, it’s the North Star—a glass capsule arm that lifts you 300 feet above sea level for an unreal panoramic view of the ocean (and maybe the ports, if you time it right). It’s like being in a floating observation deck with zero lines and all the awe.

Final Thoughts: Tech Meets Family Magic

Anthem of the Seas balances high-tech thrills with family-friendly luxury. It’s a ship where every day feels like a new adventure—from sushi rolls to skydives. The crew was fantastic, the cabins were next-level comfortable, and the activities? Something for everyone.

For cruisers who want modern amenities, unforgettable experiences, and just a touch of wow—that’s Anthem.

P.S. Royal Caribbean, if you're reading…

We’ve got matching shirts, aerial GoPro footage, and teens who now think cruises are cooler than TikTok. Let’s talk brand partnerships. (And maybe a balcony upgrade or two.)
